A key focus of the Alabama Practice-Based CME Network (APBCME) is to provide physicians with up-to-date information needed for day-to-day patient management. 

Those Alabama physicians enrolled in the APBCME Network can access at no charge literature searching to address specific patient problems you may encounter in your practice, and you will be eligible to receive AMA PRA Category 1 creditTM. The purpose of the APBCME Network is to provide CME that is relevant to your practice and your patients.

If you have an immediate patient question and wish to talk with a physician, please contact the UAB Medical Information Services via Telephone (MIST) at 205-934-4910.

In order to receive a literature search, up to 3 full-text articles relevant to your question and 0.5 Category 1 CME credit, please complete the form below and provide your question with any information that would be helpful in addressing the issues of interest to you. You will receive the articles within 3-5 business days.

Objective: Participants will be better able to manage the care of complex adult patients by addressing individual patient issues through literature review and reflection.

Accreditation: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of the University of Alabama School of Medicine (UASOM) and AQAF. The UASOM is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit: The University of Alabama School of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 0.5 AMA PRA Category 1 creditsTM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
